Happy Happy Birthday Bohten!

November 12th is officially Bohten's Birthday!

It was on this day 9 years ago in 2012, when Nana Boateng came up with the idea to create an eyewear brand, where frames would be made from wooden materials from his homeland Ghana. His brother, Nana Kwadwo, not too long after jumped on board and 'Bohten' was born. It's a brand that encapsulates its African heritage to portray and emanate style, fashion, travel and adventure. 9 years later, with the help of staying true to themselves and the brand, it's grown into a true reflection of the vast variety people that wear them today.

To commemorate the time that has passed, yet pay homage to the future and what it holds, our Co-founders Nana Boateng and Nana Kwadwo had an honest and reflective conversation about the Bohten journey that they wanted to share with you.

The Ghanian brothers that guide the Bohten ship 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, provide much insight into what it felt like crossing the 9 year mark and the significance of certain milestones along the way. The video is FULL of insight on the Bohten brand & it's evolution, so we definitely encourage you to watch it!

For Bohten, it's been 9 years of producing, creating, experimenting, failing, learning, re-trying, executing, partnering, challenging ourselves and everyone around us, to trust us, and grow.

It is well known that not many start ups, brands, businesses or entrepreneurs are able to survive and achieve such a milestone in their careers. Add a global pandemic to that, and it's an even larger accomplishment. So much has happened and so much has changed, yet we truly believe our core values remain the same.
