Well, you’ll be there just in time for their African Fashion Week!
The city of Toronto is hosting its African Fashion week from August 21st - 28th 2022. The event promises to be a large celebration to showcase the continent and its diaspora through culture-rich events and activities.
There are a myriad of events scheduled throughout the week to include an opening soiree, workshops, seminars, fashion shows and an award show. According to the organizers, the week is "designed as an opportunity to provide exposure to various designers and brands including those from out of province and throughout the world."
This is an “opportunity for Students and startups to showcase their vision in a competitive design exhibition in the presence of High Caliber panel of creative designers, media, audience and judges.” Definitely an event to check out some up and coming designers in the community.
African Fashion Awards
An awards show "created to celebrate and support the Afro Fashion Industry in Canada and Abroad.” We would encourage you to come out to this to support all the African Fashion brands.
Bôhten has been nominated for an award in the Accessories - Designer of the Decade category for which we are honored to receive.
