Afrobeats hitmaking sensation Mr Eazi is coming to Toronto as part of his Detty World Tour!
Before being showered with accolades such as the BET Awards and getting signed by WizKid’s Star Boy Entertainment, it was his slow burning hit song "Skintight" that put him on the map back in 2015. His latest single, a sultry mid tempo Afrobeats dance floor jam called “Leg Over”, released earlier this year off his "Accra to Lagos" EP album has amassed more than 14 million views on youtube!
A Nigerian artist who made his name in Ghana, he is passionately claimed by both countries. However with his stripped down and infectiously catchy highlife-inflected music, he is quickly on his way to the type of global pop stardom that transcends boundaries.
Although this is his first show in the city, his Toronto buzz has been bubbling from the start with heavy rotation in the local Afrobeats scene, cosigns from the OVO camp and a collaboration with Big Lean. The Toronto rapper, along with DJs Revy B and Yung Jaah, will play the opening spots when Mr. Eazi touches down at REBEL on Friday July 28th.
