These Celebrities Know How to Rock the Aristotles in Style

Some of you may know we are phasing out our iconic Aristotle frames to make room for some new eyewear that is sure to set new standards. But before we say goodbye one last time, we thought we revisit the impact our frames made in pop culture.

Dywane Wade

Our frames are continuing to make their rounds across Hollywood, including being featured on some of the most influential powerhouses of our generation. Last month, 13-time NBA all-star and holder of three NBA championship rings, Dywane Wade was seen wearing the Aristotles alongside his wife and actress, Gabrielle Union. The frames were a part of his Prada look styled by celebrity stylist, Jason Bolden. Mr. Wade joins the ranks of Black Panther star, Lupita Nyongo, She’s Gotta Have It sensation, Dewanda Wise and attorney for the family of George Floyd, Lee Merritt – all highly-esteemed public figures who were captured wearing our frames.

Lupita Nyong’o

Academy Award-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o turned heads earlier this year when she was spotted wearing our Aristotles during a recent trip to Tanzania to promote SERENGETI, a six-part series, which tells the stories of African wildlife over the course of a year. Before she landed there, she captured video of herself on a plane wearing her frames. She then tweeted video of her on the ground to witness endangered elephants in their natural habitat – all while wearing the Aristotles (which look really good on her, by the way)!

Dewanda Wise

When we first saw the star of Spike Lee's Netflix comedy-drama series, She's Gotta Have It, a contemporary update of his 1986 film, we knew the star of the show, Dewanda Wise, was heading to great places. Well, one of those places was being seen in Los Angeles sporting a pair of our Aristotles. In a selfie posted on Instagram, the natural beauty looked stunning as she wore our frames with a gray tank top and minimal makeup.

Black Menswear

Black Menswear is all about changing the narrative of black men and the way they do it feels quite unique. They accomplish their goals by FlashMob photo shoots, culture content creation and social media influence/engagement. Bohten has steadily been featured in much of their narrative-changing content, including the time when the company’s CEO and Founder, Ne’Andre Broussard, donned a few Bohten frames in quite a number of flash mobs. As far as we can tell, the Aristotles are his favorite, as he wears them throughout a few of his company’s campaigns.

We thoroughly appreciate Black Menswear’s support in our journey and are truly appreciative of a partnership between two companies that aim to make a difference in our communities far and wide.

Lovecraft Country

Have you ever heard of HBO’s hit television show, Lovecraft Country? From executive producers including Misha Green, Jordan Peele and J.J. Abrams comes a series based off of the 2016 novel of the same name by Matt Ruff. Well, how does this relate to Bohten?

To commemorate the release of such a thrilling series, the team at HBO decided to create a capsule collection and invited Bohten to participate! Our signature Aristotle Silver Grey frames were included with a slew of other top black-owned products to create a compelling capsule for their recipients. Our Bohten frames were paired with a Lovecraft Country branded sustainable cork carrying case and a hand-written letter, adding a nice personal touch.

Once again, Bohten was thrilled to be a part of such an endeavour and salute the team that executed both the capsule and show. Don’t forget to check out Lovecraft Country on HBO Max.
