The Story Of Bohten - Chapter 1.

It is on the mountainous region of Kwahu, highest habitable place in Ghana that BÔhten began its journey. Amongst various ideas, I had the initiative to use reclaimed waste material to manufacture an eco-luxury eyewear line. I drew inspiration from my Ghanaian roots, from my love of nature but mostly from my late grandfather Andrew Hanson Osei, who was Ghana’s first land surveyor in the 60’s.

Bôhten’s mission is to develop a compost management initiative that collects agricultural material (barley, wheat, straw, lumber, wood) and converts to high end designer glasses. We also planning to build a micro-manufacturing facility first in Canada and then Ghana for experimentation production runs in 2013. The long term vision for Bohten is to build a manufacturing eyewear facility that gives back by creating fair paying jobs for creative minds seeking opportunities in Africa. This is a journey that will be nothing short of historic

A blog posts on our journey will be posted bi-weekly as we continue to build the brand from the ground up. We appreciate all the support and  look forward to creating a system that inspires others to follow their dreams in a conscious manner. Nothing is impossible with persistence and determination, the best is yet to come!

Nana Boateng Osei,

CEO
